The objective of this course is to acquaint the student(s) with the art and practice of public speaking and presenting. This is accomplished through an in-depth analysis of the planning, research, outlining, communication skills, rehearsal, improv, and presentation processes. The student(s) will apply knowledge from readings, lectures, discussions, and exercises to hypothetical, “real-world” examples of public speaking challenges in a controlled classroom environment.
